Where were you born and raised?
I was born in St. Paul, MN. I was raised on Columbia Heights, MN.
What schools did you attend?
I attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and Totino-Grace High School. I received a B.S. degree from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN and a Master in Education degree from St. Mary's University in Winona, MN.
Where were you previously employed?
I taught second grade for ten years at St. Francis Xavier School in Buffalo, MN. Prior to this, I taught part-time as an adult education instructor for the GED program in Watertown and Delano, MN.
What brought you to St. Peter’s School?
I came to St. Peter’s School because I was looking for employment closer to my home.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
The thing I enjoy most about my career is that I get to work with children. They are so creative and full of life!!
What are your favorite hobbies/pastimes?
My favorite hobbies are reading, playing tennis and sewing.
What is your “secret” for working with children on a daily basis?
My secret for working with children on a daily basis is that I love having the opportunity to tell children about Christ's love for them. When we pray together and hear about the life of Jesus and Mary, my students grow deeper in their faith and become closer to God. This is very rewarding for me, not to mention seeing them grow academically.
