Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Blue Earth, MN. I lived in several small towns in southern Minnesota until moving to St. Michael at the age of 3. I grew up in St. Michael until going to college.
What schools did you attend?
I attended Kindergarten-12th grade in the St. Michael-Albertville School District. I graduated from high school in 2000. I went to college at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. I graduated with an Elementary Education Degree with a Pre-Primary Speciality (age 3-grade 6) in 2004.
Where were you previously employed?
I sustituted in St. Michael-Albertville, Monticello and Elk River area school districts. I held long-term substitute jobs in grades 2, 3 and 4.
What brought you to St. Peter’s School?
I wanted to work for a school that has God in their everyday lives. I also wanted to work for a small school where everyone knows and supports each other.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
I enjoy working with children the most! Seeing the joy on their faces makes it all worth it!
What are your favorite hobbies/pastimes?
I enjoy reading, being with friends and family, and watching/going to the games of my two favorite teams - the Vikings and Twins!
What is your “secret” for working with children on a daily basis?
Providing a safe environment in which children see me as someone who is friendly, caring, a good listener, and always trying to meet their needs.
