Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Belle Plaine, MN. I enjoyed growing up in a small town.
Which schools did you attend?
I attended Belle Plaine Elementary, Belle Plaine Junior, and Belle Plaine Senior High. After high school, I attended the College of Saint Benedict where I earned my BA degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. In 2010, I completed my Master of Arts in Education at St. Mary's University.
Where were you previously employed?
I taught Second Grade and Kindergarten at Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan. I also taught Kindergarten at Winsted Elementary, Pinewood Elementary in Monticello, and Watertown-Mayer Primary School.
What brought you to St. Peter’s School?
I enjoy teaching in an environment where I can teach the whole child. It is important for me to be able to help each child grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and aesthetically.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
I enjoy seeing the Kindergarten students make progress throughout the school year. I never know what the students are going to say so they keep the classroom exciting.
What are your favorite hobbies/pastimes?
I enjoy boating, swimming, playing volleyball, going for walks, reading and spending time with my family.
What is your “secret” for working with children on a daily basis?
I enjoy seeing the children discover a love of learning.
